Sebastian Arce and Mariana Montes

Sebastian and Mariana started their partnership in 1997. Together they have participated in many International Shows, and taught at numerous tango festivals worldwide such as, Tango-Magia in Amsterdam, Madrid Tango Festival, Berlin Tango Festival, Sitges Tango Festival in Spain, and they are one of the headline teachers at the most important Tango Festival in the world: The CITA in Buenos Aires. Today they are known as one of the most revolutionary tango couples in tango.
Sebastian began his tango dancing career at the age of eight. He fervently began to infuse himself with the unique technique of this beautiful dance and by adolescence, he was part of the most important tango ballet in Buenos Aires and performing in the greatest theaters of Argentina. Tango led Sebastian on an amazing journey to study various artistic expressions such as painting, sculpture, and theater. In order to perfect his tango technique, he has also studied tap, jazz, ballet, and contact-dance. As a pedagogue, Sebastian developed an exceptional gift of sharing with people his life experiences, completing a circle among Tango ideology, technique and general culture.
MARIANA MONTES started her dancing career when she fell in love with Argentine Folklore and promptly entered the famous “Escuela Nacional de Folklore” in Buenos Aires. She later joined the Salta Ballet, one of the most important ballet companies in Argentina, with which she toured through South America and also presented in the United States. Gifted with an innate ability for dance, Mariana took up Argentine tango and quickly mastered flawless technique and elegance. She has studied theatre and participated in the Italian film Tres Esposas by Marco Risi. Mariana’s dancing background also includes jazz and classical ballet.
